MotionAmigo

MotionAmigo is an AI plug-in for After Effects that I co-created with Alex Hersler.

It puts an AI agent right inside AE: describe what you want in plain language, add references, a color palette, or storyboard beats, and the agent builds it as native, fully editable layers, for you to refine as needed.

It runs on Claude or ChatGPT through your own subscription, so everything happens live in your project, with the freedom to steer mid-generation or revert in one click.

I built the first working version myself, then shipped it with Alex.

Under the hood, the agent connects to a remote MCP server with more than 300 scripting tools.
